⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I wanted to take a moment to thank the staff at Naval Branch Health Clinic for their outstanding assistance with obtaining my medical and dental records. I recently ran into an issue where my previous clinic was unable to provide my records in time due to facility issues and relocation efforts. With an important VA appointment approaching, I was worried I would not receive everything I needed. The team here stepped up and made it happen. From the Navy personnel to the civilian staff, everyone treated me with professionalism, respect, and urgency. They communicated clearly, followed up, and ensured I received my records when I needed them most. As a Marine transitioning out of service, I truly appreciate the support I received. This experience reminded me that respect goes both ways, and when people work together, great things can happen. Thank you to everyone who helped me. Your efforts made a stressful situation much easier, and I am extremely grateful. Semper Fidelis. 🇺🇸🦅🌎⚓️

I was once there and saw a civilian in charge of picking up phone calls, she had to make a phone call and had to plug it in in order to make her call. Meaning it was unplugged until then. I wish I was kidding.

I had a very mission critical appointment that I was waiting for two months on, I clearly stated the reason of my visit and they confirmed via voice message what I needed. When I got here they said the dr that needed to see me was not here an id need to schedule another time. I’m beyond frustrated because I cannot go another time. And then I was told by the dr after I said “I know this is not your fault this is just very frustrating and I don’t know what to do” she said well you can’t always get things when you want them. Naval Branch Health Clinic Jacksonville is very difficult to reach and work with. Phone calls go unanswered, and the main number routes to a system asking for an account number that seems to only apply to staff—if you don’t have it, the call simply disconnects. Even when I’ve received a missed call from the clinic, the callback number provided leads back to the same dead end. The signage at the front desk advertises sick call hours, but in practice these do not exist. Instead, there are “same-day appointments,” which are often already filled for the week. If you want to schedule a regular appointment (not sick call), plan ahead—it can be 30+ days before the next available opening. I understand that staffing and resources may be limited, but this setup leaves patients without clear options. If provider availability is the issue, perhaps TRICARE Prime should consider allowing patients to be seen by community doctors in the same way TRICARE Prime Remote does.

I have been meaning to take a moment to publicly say Bravo Zulu and thank the great staff at BHC Jax. From the front desk crew in primary care, the optometry staff, the ladies in the pharmacy to the rest of the staff including dental. To those others who have chosen to use impersonal and demeaning insults in their previous reviews of this place, shame on you. If someone needs to get an appointment, they need to go here in uniform, in person, make it and then show up at that date and time. Their phone line on public web pages isn't for every Sailor in North Florida to call to waste their time. If you have an emergency situation, you need to go to the ER at the hospital. That is how it has always worked. I am proud to get my care there.
